Gadar 2 & OMG 2 box office day 1 early estimates: Sunny Deol starrer enjoys humongous opening of Rs 35 crore, Akshay Kumar’s film collects Rs 9 crore

Gadar 2 and OMG 2 released today at the box office

Gadar 2 and OMG 2—two highly anticipated Bollywood sequels—were launched today in theatres. While Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's film debuted to record numbers, Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam, and Pankaj Tripathi's film received favourable reviews. 

Early box office projections for both films have been released, which is unquestionably fantastic news for Bollywood fans. Gadar 2 has made between Rs 35 and Rs 40 crore, whilst OMG 2 has made between Rs 8 and Rs 9 crore.

According to industry watchdog Sacnilk, Gadar 2 had a 53.1% afternoon occupancy rate whereas OMG 2 had a 46.86% occupancy rate. Early projections have the sex education movie starring Akshay Kumar at about Rs 9.50 crore, while Sunny Deol's mass action movie, which had a strong opening weekend, is expected to bring in between Rs 40 and Rs 43 crore.

This weekend, we may anticipate a packed theatre due to the positive reviews both films have received from their intended audiences. OMG 2 has the potential to gross between Rs 35 and Rs 40 crore in its opening weekend, but the Anil Sharma-directed film has a strong probability of reaching the Rs 100 crore club within its first three days in theatres.

The Bollywood Bubble rating for OMG 2 was 3.5/5. The review stated, "If you're looking forward to watching an entertaining film that also talks about a very important social message then OMG 2 is the right choice for you!"

In the meanwhile, we gave Gadar 2 a 1.5/5. Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol, is outdated and doesn't provide anything fresh, the critic stated. The movie is illogical and too dramatic. 

The ongoing Hindu-Muslim conflict, argument, or allusion to Indo-Pak becomes a bit much; Anil Sharma appears to have extended the subject. In conclusion, the film is not a Sunny Deol production; rather, Jeete, played by Utkarsh Sharma, moves it along.
