Updates on the Karnataka Bandh: Today, the entire state is participating in a strike that pro-Kannada organisations have organised two days after the Bengaluru Bandh.
In the midst of a scenario that resembles a drought in numerous districts, protests are taking place throughout the state opposing the flow of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. A demonstration was organised by the farmers' organisation in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, calling for the provision of more water to Tamil Nadu.
Karnataka govt failed to present its case before CWMA':
The state government is providing water from the Cauvery River to Tamil Nadu, according to BJP MP Tejasvi Surya. Bengaluru residents won't have access to drinking water if Cauvery River water is sent to Tamil Nadu in this manner. The Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) has not heard from the Karnataka government.
