On Thursday evening during a downpour at Mumbai airport, a private plane carrying eight people veered off the runway and crashed, gravely injuring both pilots and injuring one person.
Pilot and co-pilot were injured
At the Mumbai airport on Thursday, a private plane swerved off the runway, injuring eight persons, including the captain and co-pilot.
The eight travellers are checked at Mumbai's Andheri East Criticare Asia Hospital.
"A Learjet 45 operated by VSR Ventures, registration number VT-DBL, was engaged in a runway excursion (veer off) while landing on runway 27 at Mumbai airport. On board were two crew members and six passengers.According to a statement from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, visibility was 700 metres despite heavy rain.

Mumbai airport is currently shut
The Mumbai airport is now closed for business while being inspected.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade reported the incident around 5:45 p.m., according to early information provided by the Mumbai disaster department.
