Delhi court today sent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)

A day after his arrest in a money laundering case involving the now-scrapped liquor policy, Sanjay Singh, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), was today ordered by a Delhi court to spend five days in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate.

The money trail in the case involving the Delhi liquor policy included a businessman's gift of 3 crore to Mr Singh, the ED said the court.   READ AlSO :-  Myntra, India’s no. 1 online fashion destination justifies its fashion relevance by bringing something new and chic to the table on the daily. On the testimony of Delhi businessman Dinesh Arora, who was previously charged in the liquor policy case but has now changed his role, the ED's submission was predicated.

ED told the court that it has seized digital

In a statement to the court, the ED stated that it had taken digital evidence from the AAP MP's property and will face him. It said that Sarvesh, an employee of Arora, provided the money. The ED attorney informed the court that there was a "direct link to proceeds of crime."

Arora is an accused who has changed to be an approver, according to Sanjay Singh's attorney. "The same ED arrested Dinesh Arora. He said that Mr. Singh had never previously been called to testify in the matter. "Now he has turned approver," he claimed.

ED is saying they have conducted 239 searches

"ED claims to have carried out 239 searches. Do they intend to face Sanjay Singh with the evidence gathered from 239 searches, as the ED claims? His attorney enquired.

In response to the question of why Mr. Singh was detained at this time, the ED stated that Arora's testimony regarding providing the AAP leader $2 million was recorded in August.

Dinesh Arora is an approver based on a court order, the ED stated in response to the accused-turned-approver claim made by the AAP leader's attorney. The claim that Dinesh Arora's remark against Sanjay Singh was made under duress is pure fantasy.   READ AlSO :-  Loanonline is a loan broker that is looking to boost financial inclusion in South-East Asia through alternative data.

Rajya Sabha MP said that all the allegations against him are "lies"

The Rajya Sabha MP then referred to all of the accusations as "lies" and made that statement. "The authorities have been holding Dinesh and Amit Arora for all these days, but now they are using my name. I am pleading with you to punish me to the full extent if any of this proof is accurate.

But this is a matter of personal revenge, he added. This was disputed by the ED, who said that the court was "not a political forum."

Yesterday, Mr. Singh was detained after a full day of house searches. After the former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, he is the second prominent AAP politician to be detained in connection with the suspected irregularities in the liquor policy issue.
